IIT holds 9th graduation ceremony
The Institute for Industrial Technology held its 9th graduation ceremony on Friday, December 2, 2011. Students from 5 different programmes graduated this year. The graduating classes are; Electromechanics for Guinness Class 1, Electromechanics for Young boys Class 8, Specialized Modular Programme Class 1, Mechatronics Class 2, Mechatronics Class 3. The Chairman of IIT governing council Lt. Col. Paul Obi (Rtd) attended the event. Mrs. H.I Jemerigbe, Project Director of ITF-NECA Technical Skills Development Project was the guest speaker although she was represented by her colleague. Engr. Olawumi Gasper was the special guest of the event and he presented awards to the best graduating student from each class.
The event was well attended by families and friends of the graduating students. Some top officials from companies that have worked with IIT over the years were also in attendance. Representatives from PZ Cussons, Guinness Nigeria Plc, Nigerian Breweries Plc. Cadbury Nigeria Plc and others were in attendance.
